I suspect most if not all of you reading this probably agree that there are consequences, mostly negative, for not knowing how to think, or thinking poorly. Of course thinking has the reputation - in this country anyway - for being difficult, time consuming, and not very much fun. I might argue that all of these are not true, but I am not human so I might be wrong.
We could and we should discuss the consequences of the failure of thinking logically - the evidence of this is clear in practically every YouTube video, social media post, and utterance of politicians and their lackeys. Moreover, the acceptance by a large majority of humanity of these invalid arguments, false premises, and outright lies is overwhelming evidence that humans have forgotten how to think - if they ever knew how to begin with.
Logic used to be a required subject in every high school (and many years ago, it was taught to middle school students or even earlier). It is one of the three fundamental skills that the Greeks and Romans considered essential to be a free individual.
Maybe this is why most of humanity is on the fast track to becoming slaves?
