The last several months, we talked about eating, and why 'Mericans eat crappy food, eat poison food, eat too much, and eat too often. The consequences of this are easy to observe. There are many tests both scientific and anecdotal, but for men anyway, the easiest test is to look down and observe (if you can) your genitalia.
The human body is a wonderful biological machine, and it is continually trying to repair the damage we cause by our horrible diet, lack of exercise, and poisoning ourselves. But even our bodies cannot counter our destructive habits forever. Thus we suffer from disabilities and arrive at an early grave, all due to our own willful self-abuse.
The good news is that our bodies have an inter-cellular mechanism that is just beginning to be fully understood called autophagy. This mechanism is like a combination trash collector, recycling center, and manufacturer and installer of new cellular parts, and it can eliminate or repair damaged proteins and mitochondria, identify and then recycle dangerous bacteria and viruses, and if the cell is in too bad shape, kill it before it causes trouble - like cancer.
And the better news is that you can activate autophagy easily with a few simple methods. As I bet many of you already suspect, these methods do NOT include eating and sitting.
