How many people do you think retreat from this personal development journey due to the scrutiny of those in their own social circles? Just even more of a reason to join groups/communities that support whatever mission you’re on!
I’m certain that most people just don’t even bother sharing details about their journey with others for this very reason. Transformation is personal, and some people want to make it a community event. Community support is nice, but can it become toxic?
It can definitely become toxic, but I think joining a community to help propel you even the tiniest bit forward is better than the alternative of not starting because of social pressure. It’s a personal journey for sure, but it doesn’t have to be a lonely one
This is some positive input and a decent recommendation for most people. I personally will continue avoiding the cliques, clubs, parties, groups and collectives that refuse to allow individuals to thrive as they must. For me, collectivism will alway be toxic.
It's been a tough few years . . . BUT I am in such a healthier place now. I get what you're saying about folks hating change. Courage is choosing to change.

I’m so happy you’re in a healthier place now, Ed. Ditto. Keep pressing on!
